Living wills

A Living Will informs medical staff how you wish to be treated should you no longer be able to communicate your wishes to your medical team.

With a Living Will you decide what happens if you are seriously ill with little chance of recovery. It makes sure it is not left to your next of kin to make impossible life and death decisions on your behalf. You should seek expert legal advice before setting one of these in place. If you do make one please copy it to us. We will code it into your GP NHS records, scan it to attach it electronically to your records and file the paper copy in your old paper notes. You would be wise to also send copies to the local hospital.
